Sunday afternoon was wet. Very wet. Oh yes, and muddy. Those conditions combined with high school athletes on large animals competing in a mud arena equals a heck of a good time for a photographer. I would have liked to spend the whole day at the rodeo capturing the sights but some other events on my schedule nixed that idea. Nonetheless I had a lot of fun and tried something different with a couple of portraits of bull riders. This event is easily one of my favorite sporting events to photograph all year long. The event which lasted all weekend endured quite a bit of rain yet the rodeo hosting Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana High School athletes continued despite the wet conditions.
